Think Christmas! As part of your gift giving this Holiday season, please consider a lasting gift to the Keenan Van Fund, that will benefit many ALS patients for years to come!
Dan Keenan "Paying it Forward" . . . . .
Dan dreams of bringing mobility to other ALS patients on the Western Slope of Colorado.
If you know Dan, you know laughter and great attitude. Dan's selfless nature is what is most memorable about him. Even with the challenges of having terminal A.L.S (Lou Gehrig's Disease), Dan has a consistent upbeat, positive attitude and a dream of helping others in Western Colorado stricken with this terminal disease.
Dan's dream is to "Pay it Forward", to others in need. Never thinking of himself first, but rather thinking of others who could benefit from a wheelchair van to assist in their daily lives. Dan and his team are working hard to raise money and make his dream come true.
Dan's legacy will live on in our community for decades to come.

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (A.L.S.)
- ALS affects more men than women
- The average age is 45 when symptoms occur
- Colorado has a higher than average rate of ALS
- ALS does not affect the brain
- Breathing and eating are two of the most difficult challenges
The Keenan Family wants to say "Thank You" to all the generous donors, service providers & businesses who made this dream of "Paying it Forward" come true!
Dan Keenan, the originator of this dream has to be very proud of what has been accomplished to help other A.L.S. patients who suffer from this debilitating disease. Dan's dream, originally, was to help 10 other people with A.L.S. and his goal has now been surpassed with the 11th recipient of this life altering van! This wheelchair accessible van makes the life's of A.L.S. patients, and their families, just a little bit easier to manage during an already difficult time.
Even though the first van is now completely paid off, there will always be maintenance and licensing fees to pay. A 501c3 non-profit status has been established making your donations tax deductible. The second Keenan Van still has a balance owed and the foundation continues to take donations toward the final payment.
Please consider making a donation to "Dan's Vans" to purchase and maintain the vans for future families use.
The first Keenan Van has been paid in full!
A second Keenan Van has been purchased and given to
another A.L.S. patient on the Western Slope.
Please help us pay for this van so we can keep the dream alive!
On Monday, November 26, 2012, Dan Keenan
lost his battle with A.L.S., however his dream of
"Paying it Forward" lives on!
